Health and Safety

Scaffolding Management Services’ objectives are to place the highest priority on providing a safe and healthy working environment for all of its employees and contractors.

Our commitment is to meet or exceed the safety and health standards expected by the community, the industries we work in and meet also the statutory requirements of those industries.

Employees are required to participate in the Safety Management Plan specific to their project and location; to utilise the appropriate safety equipment provided by the Scaffolding Management Services for their own protection; to work in a manner that ensures safety for themselves and their workmates; and to immediately correct or report any unsafe work practises or hazards to their supervisor.

All employees and contractors are required to recognise and accept their responsibility to maintain a safe and healthy workplace, implementing and utilising the Safety Management Plan developed by Scaffolding Management Services.

Health and Safety Objectives and Targets

Objectives

Scaffolding Management Services and its subcontractors Health and Safety objectives are to:

• provide a safe working environment and no injuries
• work towards having zero incidents
• facilitate and maintain effective communication regarding safety, health and the environment between client management, Scaffolding Management Services’ management and all site personnel;
• provide a workplace environment in which all employees are able to consult and participate in matters relating to site or company safety, health and environment
• completing the scope of work, with the minimum practicable impact on the clients activities and the environment

Targets

Scaffolding Management Services will set annual OHS&E Targets for the Company based on its known or predicted activities; additionally each project will have targets set based on the project hazard/risk assessments, business requirements and clients expectations.
